EMERGENCY APPEAL, 7.8 Earthquake in Turkey
緊急援助 土耳其7.8級地震
On February 6, 2023, at 04:17, a catastrophic earthquake of 7.8 magnitudes rocked Turkey and Syria, causing immense devastation. According to first estimations, more than 20,000 lives were lost, with thousands more injured or homeless.
2023年2月6日凌晨4:17，一場震級達7.8級的災難性地震衝擊了土耳其和敘利亞的大面積地區，造成重大人員傷亡及設施損毀。據初步估計，已有超過20,000人失蹤死亡，幾千人受傷，流離失所。
Anatolia Cultural and Dialog Center have initiated an aid campaign to provide urgent relief to those impacted by the recent earthquake. We call on all individuals, businesses, and organizations to join us to heal those affected, helping them rebuild their lives and improve public infrastructure devastated by this natural disaster.
On February 6, 2023, at 04:17, a catastrophic earthquake of 7.9 magnitudes rocked Turkey and Syria, causing immense devastation. According to first estimations, more than 2,300 lives were lost, with thousands more injured or homeless. The epicenter of the earthquake was in the Pazarcık district of Kahramanmaraş. Provinces around Kahramanmaras, such as Hatay, Osmaniye, Adıyaman, Gaziantep, Şanlıurfa, Diyarbakır, Malatya, Kilis and Adana have also been affected by the destruction. Experts say this is one of the strongest quakes to hit the region in the past 100 years. Multiple strong aftershocks continue to hit the area, including one measuring magnitude 7.5.
